Jonathan Cosson MSc BSc DEA DEC
Projects Director Jonathan started with us in September 2015 and has 15 years’ experience of working in energy and carbon management within both the private and third sectors. He has worked at a senior management level and has extensive project development and management experience within the energy efficiency and renewable energy fields. Jonathan has designed, secured funding and managed the delivery of a multitude of energy reduction projects from a variety of sources including European Structural Funds (ERDF & RDP) The Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC), Big Lottery Fund and private sector funding. Jonathan is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and Display Energy Certificate assessor and has worked with a large number of Local Authorities and RSL’s. Jonathan also has experience of managing projects for large companies within heavy industry and manufacturing environments across the UK in order to reduce their utilities costs.
Helen Perkins B.Ed Prince2
Partnerships Consultant Helen has worked with Warm Wales and later Warm West since it was established in 2004. She has over 20 years’ experience of project management and has worked in the fuel poverty arena, managing several key projects including: Bringing Warm Homes to Wales and Arbed1. Helen also has strong management and training & development experience working in various public offices including the DWP and the Public Service Ombudsman office. She was also the Regional Manager for the Gas Consumer Council (Wales) in 1993, a role she held for seven years. As Partnership Consultant, Helen’s core responsibilities are working with new and existing partners, to support successful project delivery.
Project Officer Patreia works on the administration of the Warm West gas and heating grant scheme on behalf of our private sector clients, whilst also providing a customer service and office administration resource. Having spent more than a decade with the company, Patreia has developed a comprehensive knowledge of our services and customer base, to accompany the wide-ranging office management and administration skills which she brought to the business. Patreia has qualifications in Energy Awareness, Customer Services and Business Management.
Project Officer Wayne is responsible for the administration of our gas and heating grant schemes and enjoys a reputation for providing a fast and efficient customer service. As well as communicating directly with customers, Wayne also proved a liaison point for our private and public sector partners. Wayne joined the Warm Wales and West team in April 2011 as a permanent employee having completed a six-month employment training scheme. His role is core to the administrative success of the different projects we run and his background in building and construction has been vital to his understanding of the projects and deliverables. Wayne’s qualifications include: City & Guilds Energy Awareness Level 3, HNC Building Studies, and certificates in CAD and ECDL.
Finance Manager Claire joined the organisation in May 2016 as Finance Manager, preparing management accounts, forecasts and project costings for the Executive Team and Board. Her role is to ensure the Board and management team have solid financial information on which to base business decisions and to ensure financial viability for the business going forward. Claire has a post-graduate diploma in Business Management, CIMA and AAT qualifications and is vastly experienced with over 20 years of experience in the not for profit and charitable sectors.
Office & Admin Assistant Leigh provides vital support to the project team ensuring that appropriate processes and systems are followed; work undertaken includes data management and checking of customer paperwork. An experienced administrator, Leigh joined the team in March 2015 after working for 16 years with Town & Country Hotels as their Group Administrator. Leigh’s qualifications include City & Guilds Energy Awareness Level 3.
Marketing & Communications Jon is responsible for building customer engagement through Warm West’s digital channels including the company websites and social media accounts. He also writes and designs company literature and manages our brand. Jon joined the team in the summer of 2017 after spending 21 years in the marketing industry. Previous roles have included Marketing Manager for the Welsh Government, National Library of Wales and the City and Council of Swansea as well as 5 years as a Marketing Director for a Swansea based group of companies.
